For Immediate Release

Medley, FL, August 20, 2009 – CAME Americas Automation announced the opening of their brand new, two-story, 29,800-square-foot, state-of-the-art headquarters and distribution center in Medley, Florida during the NFPA Americas’ Fire and Security Expo held July 28-30 at the Miami Beach Convention Center.

The space touts two showrooms, featuring the latest CAME Access Automation and URBACO Automatic Bollards lines, and is the largest warehouse in the U.S. solely dedicated to access control products. Nearly 2,000 pallets of products can be housed within the new warehouse space for convenient, on-demand shipping to all North and Latin American territories. In following CAME’s contemporary product design and highest safety standards, the new North American headquarters serves as the distribution center responding to the growing needs of the entire North American market from Canada to Latin America.

In an effort to streamline their own process and use of space, the showroom space can be used for demonstrations, dealer events and meetings. And that’s exactly what happened the evening of July 29. Over 75 associates, clients, distributors and prospects from the U.S., Canada, Mexico and several Latin American countries attended the Inauguration Celebration, held in conjunction with the NFPA America’s Fire and Security Expo.

During the inauguration celebration, tours, demonstrations and heartfelt speeches of appreciation were given. Paolo Menuzzo, CAME Group President and CAME Veteran, Winslow Wise, Managing Director were in attendance to officially dedicate the building to everyone in the CAME Group family who helped make the evening a possibility, and, a success. Following the requisite gracious displays, in several languages, applause broke a momentary silence and a well-earned ribbon cutting tied up the event in one, neat bow.

“It’s a humbling moment when all the pieces come together to create a first class operation…that for so long was only in your mind,” said Menuzzo. “Not many companies are expanding today, and that was a bittersweet realization I had as I talked to all the CAME Group associates who came out to show their support.” Wise continued, “I know that for me and my team, we are as happy the building opening is behind us, as we are excited for what lies ahead for the CAME Group.” “There are many great things on the horizon for CAME and URBACO.”

Already gearing up to become a major player in the U.S. access control market, CAME recently secured several UL approvals for many of their new barrier gate products. This status further enhances the global brand’s well-consolidated position in North and Latin American markets. Local product development and engineering capabilities have been implemented within the new building; thus adaptation of products and features to domestic requirements.

To that end, as the international leaders in automation, safety products and access control, it only makes sense that the new facility features the company products and emerged as a fully-automated, intelligent building that can open its own doors, have lights and air conditioning turn on and off automatically all through CAME access control devices. Benefits of a fully automated, all-access, intelligent building are far too numerous to name, but maintain the Group’s core values by practicing what CAME preaches.

CAME Cancelli Automatici was established in Treviso, Italy more than 35 years ago with a focus on automation systems for gates, access control systems, automatic doors and road barriers. Over time, the company evolved into the CAME Group and now also manufacturers URBACO bollards, used for managing traffic flow in and around urban spaces and produces tubular motors for shades, awnings and Venetian blinds under the Jolly Motor name. CAME set up the CAME Americas shop near Miami in February 2007. Today CAME operates in the automation industry with 13 branches and over 350 distributors around the world.

CAME ACCESS AUTOMATION

CAME Access Automation has held quality, workplace and product safety, technological innovation, and environmental safeguarding to be fundamental values to support a competitive market while maintaining a leading position, both nationally and internationally, in the gate, door and other access automation industry. These very high standards from engineering to materials used and the production process have allowed CAME to achieve the top rewards and certifications from international authorities the world over.

Urbaco Automatic Bollards

Established in 1986, URBACO is the world leader in the retractable bollard access control market and amongst the top European companies for fixed bollard and street furniture sectors. In 2004, Urbaco became part of the CAME Group.

CAME North America is located at 11345 NW 122nd Street, Medley, FL 33178
